Dresden
Hello rockers,
We’re currently all sitting in the office of the venue we played last, the weather outside is the best we’ve had so far which makes us idiots for not been in it.
The show last night was another banger, the Europeans really know how to put shows on. Frank (the promoter) and his crew greeted us with crates of beer, soup and tofu pasta, there was also a very energetic half blind dog to keep us entertained with throwing a stick i think the Germans call it fetch. The attendance was about 30 – 40 people, a girl in the crowed had a this town needs guns t shirt on and a tubelord bag… I’ll upload a picture soon. There was also a guy called Jan rocking his little head off at the front and I’m proud to say i gave his 154th broken drum stick. Apparently there’s a guy in the US with 2000 odd.
The journey yesterday was a breeze, with it only being 3 hours long and most of it on little roads. The only bad point was we had no sat nav in Poland so we had to head west and just hope for the best.
Anyway best be getting on the road, we have a 4 hour drive to a place in the Czech Republic that doesn’t exist on google maps.
Wish us luck
Oh yer and a big thanks to Frank and his crew!

Wroclaw
We played at a really cool art squat commune thing. The venue was awesome. The weather is incredible, proper sunshine. The show was another cracker. We’ve done really well navigating around without our trusty sat nav. We’re waiting for some breakfast, not sure what we’re getting, I saw some green things put into a pan.
We’re definitely coming back to Poland.

Cracow the next morning
We all got very drunk again last night. I fell asleep in a bar again. Rich went to a gay club, with a guy… How’s about that then. The others met some thirsty girls from Grantham of all places. They knew one of our friends Danny, small world or what. Scott was the most drunk I’ve seen him, it was hilarious playing very bad Mastodon covers with him and Peckett at 2 in the morning.
The hostel that most of us stayed at is incredible, I think I could very happily live here. Cracow’s a real nice city, we’re going to go have a look now, after Peckett’s put some clothes on.

Cracow
So we had the worst drive of tour so far today. It wasn’t the longest but it was fucking gruelling. What should have been 5 and a half hours took nearly 9. The traffic was so bad we ended up getting out the van on the motorway and staging a 100 meter sprint. We also saw a car on fire. The Polish border was hilarious but I’ll let Scott tell that story… Poland’s countryside isn’t that different to back home but some of the buildings look like they should home Ras B Nesbitt.
Thank God the show was packed and went really well otherwise we would have all quit by now…

Berlin
Today we’re all exceptionaly tired and hung over. Rich drove to Berlin and enjoyed pissing people off on the autobahn. He didn’t enjoy all the red lights and pedestrian crossings, so decided to ignore most of them. He really didn’t enjoy putting the wrong address into the sat nav either…
Anyway, Berlin is really nice, a bit too cool for us lot, but nice all the same. Wiz, Peckhead and myself had a wander around, we walked past a cool bohemian restaurant called the ” Gypsy Kitchen” where it seemed that the kitchen was on fire so we decided to stop and have a beer with all the cool kids. We went back to venue and I fell asleep. I woke up to having to play. It wasn’t nice.
We stayed at a really nice guy called Rob’s house. It’s an old squat that had been renovated, it was huge and had a bar in it. Considering 35 people live there it is kept spotless and really clean, which made me happy. Everyone got a bed and a shower, Which was my first since Oslo…
We are now on the journey to Cracow in Poland. Our sat nav doesn’t work that east so me and Rich are navigating with directions and a shitty map. Wish us luck…

Hannover hangover
So I’m sitting at a bar, that I spent a lot of last night in front of, eating a ham and cheese sandwich. This is breakfast. In lay mans terms Hannover “fucking rocks, absolutely.” Although no one knew who we were, 200 people still watched us rock, kerazy. The game last night was standing on amps, it was hilarious. Neville didn’t get laid. We swapped a couple of tee shirts for a bottle of Jim Beam, Kirk spent the night trying not to get laid. To the best of my knowledge he didn’t, which was damn impressive. I wasn’t sick, which was even more impressive. Let’s go to Berlin.
The scores were
Thom – 9.5
Sam – 10 (thank you…)
Dick – 9

Vanersborg
Although we weren’t up as early as the past couple of days we managed to compensate by not going to sleep until nearly 6am. So after a nice 4 and a half hours rest it’s back in the fucking van, at least it’s only 4 hours today.
The show was at a youth center, with the emphasis on the word ‘youth’. The band that opened up were four 14 year old boys fronted by a 15 year old girl. Check them out, it’s hilarious

I think that’s right. In Sweden the government give kids money to buy instruments and start bands, how cool is that? Black metal baby. The game tonight was handstands, no one actually participated in the game because it was a pretty weird show and was very hot. I don’t think there was any one in the audience with either facial hair or a menstrual cycle.
We stayed in the venue, which was cool. I had a sofa all to myself.

Thom – 8

Oslo
The drive through Sweden and Norway was amazing. We listened to Bill Hicks and I think I had the best burger king of my life. The scenery up here is beautiful, loads of mountains and shit. We had a fridge full of beer waiting for us at the venue, that was nice.
The game tonight was piggy backs, extra points if you could get a piggy back off of an audience member. I managed it.
After the show I got talking to a very interesting character named Evan. He was a middle aged socialist who didn’t understand why I chose to play music and not work in industry for the good of my people. I think he saw it as being selfish, which I suppose it is to a certain degree. The conversation did spawn an analogy I am proud of though. I tried to explain that like massive food companies, for example McDonalds and Tescos, there are massive artists like Madonna and the Pet Shop Boys. As well as these monster companies there are also small privately owned bakeries and butchers that don’t turn over a huge profit but just enough to continue, so essentially we, being blakfish, are like a bakery… His answer to this was that we sounded like shit, although someone later told me he didn’t even watch us. He started to lose me when he said I was “Robin Hood”, I told him he was Stalin, he didn’t like that. Evan is not married, didn’t seem to have many friends and smelt strange.
While I was having fun arguing, Rich was being introduced to new exciting apps for his iPhone, and Neil was being introduced to excitement…. You can see the great new photos made with Rich’s new toy on here. Don’t we look lovely?
